Work to Stay

For those who want to stay a little longer and get involved in something real.

currve

Our Work to Stay program is for guests who’d like to spend more time here and contribute to the land and lodge. It’s not a job, and it’s not a tour, it’s simply a chance to be part of the daily flow, lend a hand, and learn along the way.

There’s always something to do:

We’re about 4 km off the main road, down a quiet dirt track. You can explore the area on foot or by bike, and we have a tuk tuk to take you into the nearby village (15 minutes) or to the main town of Puttalam (about 45 minutes).

You’ll stay in a private room and share meals with us and the team; simple, home-cooked food, often prepared over a fire.

What to Expect

Around 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week

Private room in one of our lodges

We host up to 2 work-stay guests at a time

What You Might Be Doing

Planting trees, vegetables, spices, or flowers

Irrigating, weeding, or protecting crops from wildlife

Harvesting coconuts, cashews, mangoes, and more

Helping with basic maintenance or small building tasks

Learning simple traditional skills like palm weaving or making coconut rope

It’s a hands-on experience; steady work, plenty of time in nature, and a chance to see what life on the land is really like.

We can arrange airport transfers, or help coordinate pickup from other places in Sri Lanka, depending on where you’re coming from.
